The journey

Discover Hampta Pass

Hampta Pass is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most striking crossover treks. The trail leaves the green Kullu Valley, climbs through forest, open meadows and glacial terrain, then drops into the stark mountain landscape of Lahaul.

At roughly 14,000 feet, the pass delivers a genuine high-altitude experience without an expedition-length itinerary. When road and weather conditions allow, the journey also includes a visit to Chandratal.
